I'll try and describe my problem as best i can ... I'm getting a new clutch in a week as it has 'clutch judder' in first and second gear but my main problem is that when i change into any gear the gear change feels kind of dry and clunks a little, it never pops out of gear so thats ok, just that its no where near as nice as it should be! What are the possibilities it could be? Gear linkages? gear box oil? Or even the clutch? (I suppose i'll see if it's the clutch soon) Cheers


	206 GTI, Ram air filter, lowered 35mm front, 50mm rear, Scorpion 3.5" Back box, phase 2 boot strip, m3 rear lights.. Not much more i want to do, just sorting the paint work out!

mine was clunky when i first started using it, then over time it become smoother to use and alot less clunky, it still clunks a little bit but nowhere near as bad as it did, think thats what there sposed to do though so that you know you've changed gear i'd say maybe it just needs using a bit more to losen it off (just a guess though)

Pugs are pretty well known for there crappy box's lol I'm sure you'll get many more responses saying roughly the same thing

my reverse gear has always been problematic since i owned the car. Sometimes it will go into reverse, sometimes it makes me shout random curse words

mine always clunks real hard when going into gear, i just put it down to a s***ty Gearbox, I also have probs with reverse lol, somtimes im in a carpark for ages pumping the clutch like "WOOORK FFS" haha

lol the reverse thing is easy, if it doesnt go in, come off the clutch completeley, back down on the clutch and it will go in and yeah, the gearboxes suck d**k. mines shockingly rough

i wish lol, that doesnt work for me, it still doesnt go in. i find it works if i pump the clutch fast a few times then slip in it Wink

I have the exact same problem....even after having the clutch, clutch cable done and doing the transmissions fluid..so dont do this if your wanting a solution for this.

reverse is a b***hard for me too, + if im slowing down getting it into 1st is difficult and always sounds nasty..
