Hey guys, I have a 1.9D on a 2000 plate non plexed obviously haha was just wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to convert it to a 1.6 or 2.0 HDi lump just so underpowered and not as efficient as i'd like for diesel tbh, not bothered bout havin to put few quid into her as i'v done alot of work and dont want to get rid of the car just want to improve it really. Any advice would be great thanks Very Happy

best thing you can do is forget th hdi - get a 306dturbo engin and do it that way - easy see it safely running 120bhp for next to no money Very Happy

was thinking of that too lol but what bout the hubs and drive shafts and stuff is all fairly similar and would it be a diffenrent gearbox?

So engine and box out of a 306 DTurbo and wiring loom is a obvious call lol, would it be a simple conversion mounts in the same place and stuff?

Fitting the DW10 from the 206 would be the easiest, because the sub frame should be the same/similar, so everything would just drop in. Then just intercool it

Nah I love my lil 206 cant part with her done alot of work already all thats left for now is a engine transplant somethin I been wantin to do for AGES

DW10 is the 2.0hdi
DV6 is the w**ky 1.6HDi

Didn't know that... I'm guessing mine is that one because could never understand people with 1.9D saying it wasn't economical as i get 55 round town

So I know I have the DW8 would the DW10 be a direct fit because mine aint the plexed model ya see Sad

Yes... Mines a pre plexed 2.0 HDI and would fit straight on but would need a gearbox change etc

SWEET!!! sounds like a good plan, so engine DW10 and box, new loom, ECU and BSI unit will i need new drive shafts and hubs and stuff??? what brake you get out of a DW10 then?

standard is 90... can be increased to about 120 with intercooler and remap. pretty rapid Smile
