OK so my car is all nicely serviced and I thought I would reset the annoying mile count down display on my dash. My service interval are recommended at 20k miles,
So I have a fiddle not knowing what I'm doing I just press the button that changes from trip to total mileage while turning the key to 2, hey presto the service mileage displays followed by a counter from 10. I avoid the urge to abort thinking there my be some kind of bomb and the counter resets luckily.
THe trouble is it has reset to 18750miles not 20000 miles!! Why on earth does it do this. I know it's not a big deal but how annoying??!!

BSI configuration most likely needs a tweak for auto locking
Might me worth taking it to a Pug main dealer & getting the BSI software updated.
You can just replace an engine ecu & get it recoded to the original BSI & transponder.

Two things:
I'm glad someone else gets slightly paranoid when it's counting down from 10
Its 1,250 miles. It's not a big deal.

Mine will be loosing miles fast on the service counter come december, I dont get near the mileage limit so it goes by time.
Get near the time limit & the miles just vanish in the last couple of weeks
