Running 20mm hubcentric spacers on my XSi which has the same beam as the GTi purely because of the wheels wanting to be flush with the arch and also due to the stance.

I know that with 16" Nimrods and 20mm spacers, the tyre WILL scrub. Obviously depending how low your car is.

So I'd suggest 15mm or less. And as above hubcentric!

Running 20mm with 406 Nimrods so the wheels are sitting at ET-2 all round and I've not even got an inch of rubbing and I've got the car lowered temporarily at 50mm. But I'm running 4o profile tyres.

I said depending how low your car is lowered and I did not state how low mine was.
Also I'm sure the ET and/or tyre width is different between the 206 16" nimrod to the 406 16" nimrod.

406 is 15, while 206 is 28

Well last time it was. Im running 195/40 conti tyres on mine so I've got tiny side walls but had a single problem, there's still plenty off gap between the lip of the arch even with the spacers and my tyres and I've got SP arches fitted to it.

Width of the Nimrods are 6.5J and the offset if ET18 on the 16" 406 variants.
