Hi, I bought my 206 with the lateral airbags (the ones attached to the side of each seat) exploded. The two front are OK.
I need to "bypass" them and not have the AIRBAG FAULT warning.
How can I do it?
I have heard something about a resistor and stuff like that

Would proberly need to find out the resistance of the airbag??
And put a resister across the terminal or summot i'd guess

You will need to complete the circuit again, I'm afraid I don't know the resistance of the airbags though. Have you still got the old exploded airbags?

Don't quote me on this but I think its a 47k resistor
Think you can turn them off in the ecu settings

2ohm resistor i think for the main one.
If your removing that, just take the whole airbag system out.
I'll have a look to see if you can just turn airbags off

Change the airbag ecu, part number is diferent between:
206 with just front airbags & pretensioner
&
206 with front side / curtain airbags & pretensioners.

I'm not sure about this, but I remember seeing an option useing the PP2000 to activate/deactivate airbags, but that will shut the whole system down, not only the side ones

Thats why I said he needs to change to the basic airbag ecu

I looked under each seat and the conector to each airbag has three wires. I dont know wich two bring to put the resistor and try.
The exploded airbas stillare inside each seat
It would be good to know the resitor ohm and try it
Also have the peugept planet I did put ABSENT on each of the lateral airbags but it would not allowme, I think it gives me an error trying to comunicate via internet with some address
