Lightening speed right there! That was my best run of the day I think

Next year I want to try and hit 80mph, so in time to come I might see if the 1.6 8v TB and inlet are compatible and if so get Addaz do work his magic lol

Your powerflow sounded nice Ste was that just the backbox?

New alloys have been purchased as a little refurb project, all I am giving away is that they are 16" Wink

I did think about downsizing to 15" but the alloys I will be putting on were too nice to pass up, they should be delivered later in the week

A clue to my new alloys is that they are Peugeot oem, 16" and ET31 offset

I know 206 offset is 23-28 so it's 3mm out strictly speaking, should I go for 5mm spacers or would I be fine to run them as they are? I've done my searching and loads of people seem fine with et31, but would it make a noticeable (negative) difference to the cars handling?

As for the refurb progress, they were very scuffed to begin with, being as they don't have a rim as such its the edges of the face that taken the beating but they have been sanded down, filled and smooth Smile They are being sprayed to match my current colour scheme

Only just seen this post lol, nah my powerflow is a cat-back Smile whats it like outside the car? Inside I can hardly hear it unless I drive it like most 1.1's need to be driven (Hard) to get it moving, just sounds deep to me lol.

Probably the best £140 I've ever spent though lol (Got it discounted from £280 o.O local club christmas discounts FTW!)

Hey Addaz I'm going to have a look at the label on the inlet, my engine is the TU3A and judging by the stickers on the components it shares a lot of parts with other engines, the whole induction kit is from the 1.4 16v and I've seen various things with stickers that say "TU3A/TU5JP".. must have been some update peugeot made at a certain date!

Ste has your mpg gone down with it?

Yours is a 1.4 8v i thought? The inlet ports are different between 16v to 8v

If yours is a 16v whack a C2 metal inlet manifold on it, if 8v the later 1.6 8v VTR inlet manfold/body would do the trick

Yeahh its an 8v but a little different to the usual tu3jp lol

Its definately something I will look into, probably wouldn't be able to afford to declare that kind of thing now so I'll wait for renewal time when I will be 20 with another year driving experience to do it (i like to declare things) Smile it will never be a fast car but to give it a nicer response and shave maybe a second off next years fast show time would be awesome, I don't want to be 6th slowest again! so next years target = 7th slowest Wink

I'm posting a teaser picture of my new alloys in progress tomorrow, another clue is they are from a 307

Small Update for you

Here is how I'm getting on with the refurb, the jig is up I can't hold secrets for long Smile

After cleaning (they needed it big time!), sanding, fillering and smoothing, etch primer and two coats of filler primer

Heres how they were before (ebay image)
