Is it possible to get a larger biting point without buying a new clutch as mine is very small? Also I want to be able to get biting point at a relatively low level, mine is quite high.
Do I need new clutch or can I just adjust by pulling a cable or something? I am not sure how clutches work but I'm assuming it is like a bike brake, cable stretches and point of impact gets higher?
Thanks in anything!

Could be the cable, could be the clutch or could be the driver not used to Peugeot / Citroen clutch operation.
The thing with 206's is when it does need a clutch kit ONLY fit one of the following 3 brands:
LUK
Sachs
Valeo
It doesnt matter which of those 3 you fit, there all decent.
As for the cable Peugeot / Citroen part number 2150 EF Clutch cable £32.33

tbh, the pugs are renowned for having this awkward pedal arrangement, it's one of the design flaws we put up with for the nice body shape. lol

I follow the 2nd paragraph, but what's a 'larger biting point'?

basically my biting point annoyingly feels like only 1 inch, any higher the car starts to make a "rumbling" sound then a little higher it eventually stalls, it doesn't sound too healthy. I'm just hoping it is not a engine possibility because this costs alot.
So I'm looking for two things with the clutch.
1) Lower biting point
2) Larger biting point
I'm really hoping it is cable if it does cost around £30, how much will labour cost approx?
Thank you!

Sounds like the pressure plate is worn, so best to replace the whole clutch.

I had a cheap clutch put in the 180 and it felt crap, the bite was very vague and it was quite close to the top of the pedal travel.
Pay the money for better quality.

cheap clutches are false economy. especially if your not fitting it yourself. the dearest part of replacing your clutch is the labour. dont take any chances, fit a decent one first time, and you wont need it doing for a long time. A cheap one is always a risk.

okk went to halfords autocenter, they said it is the gearbox and they sounded confident it was it. the gearbox causes the car to ruddle while engaging the clutch. garage 1 says it is clutch causing ruddling... garage 2 says it is probably the oil in the clutch and will soon come off.
new gearbox quote around £500, I laughed. Got the got for almost that price.
pathetic if I did spend that much and it was not the issue.
so getting different feedback from different mechanics... annoyed. >.<
