Hi
Im hoping someone can help.
iv got a w reg 206, iv had it about 18months, a few months ago i noticed a strange noise coming from the front right wheel, you could only hear it when the window was down. I ignored it all through winter but now its so load i can hear it with the windows up and music on low 
it starts when i have been driving for a bit, say 15-20min, its kind of like a squeaking/ticking noise, its hard to explain. It only happens when im driving 30mph + and when the wheels straight ahead and right.

First thing you should do is jack the front up and check for play in the wheels if you wobble them side to side

The only 2 explanations I can give you (which I've suffered with my 206) is the brake pipe rubbing on the wheel.
Or, most likely, as I had this ticking noise was the driveshaft nut has a cover, with a circlip holding it place.
This circlip becomes loose and clicks when you drive.
The reason you can't hear it above 30MPH is because the wheel is turning too fast for the clip to fall and make a click.
Even this plagued me until some ATS boys found this.

Not that I'm disagreeing but usual wheel bearing failure is a large vibration and a deep hum noise from the respective corner, that increases during cornering.
Never heard of clicking.
Driveshaft CV joints could be on the way out, which will result in massive clicking/knocking on full lock.
Find a big carpark and do some full lock tests to see if its that.

Thanks everyone,
It does clunk if im turning with full lock on.
I have no knowledge on cars so i did some googling and the things that i found suggest wheel bearing, cv joint??
I am going to take it into a garage, but with me not knowing anything they like to rip me off.lol
any ideas of cost involved?

Most likely driveshaft then, never heard of bearing noise on full lock at slower speeds.
A new driveshaft is around £80-£100 and fitting would be charged around 2-3 hours work. Around £80 labour Id say.
Try the tyre places like ATS or Kwikfit as well as local garages. I'm not sure but they do running gear jobs like this as well.
