Right, bought some XSI alloys for my 1.4 LX earlier. Went to fit them tonight, and they seem rather snug to get on. the bolt holes line up as they should. Just the centre caps dont quite fit on like the stealies did. Got them on in the end. However tightened the bolts up went for a quick drive and checked them again, they tightened up again. Went for a longer drive and they stayed tightish but I still got a bit more turn on them. I used the bolts that came with the stealies, do i need some different ones? Anybody else done this? Will the fit properly?

Shocked

You MUST not use steel wheel bolts on alloy wheels!

Get the correct alloy wheels bolts fitted ASAP / stop driving the car / put the steel wheels back on till you have the correct alloy bolts for the alloy wheels!

The stealies will be back on as soon as i get back to them.

Right, quick update, back on the stealies for now. The fronts where okish, seemed a bit snug on the centre caps but came off with very little force needed. However the rears where very snug. Had to give them a good quick from behind to get them off. Does anybody know whats up? Anybody else done put XSI alloys on a 1.4 LX? How snug where they or wernt they?

can put any alloys of any 206 onto any other 206, just make sure you have the right bolts

have a read through here and the other threads in that section, will help you out 206info.co.uk/Forums/v...17495.html

I know in theory they should fit. They did seem to-ish. Just like I said where the centre caps sit was a lot more snug than the stealies, the stealies with a tiny bit of effort you can move them around a bit if the stud holes dont quite line up. However the alloys once there sat on the centre caps will not budge watsoever.

They may have been snug but the steel bolts could of worked there way out or even snapped, better to be safe than sorry

I know that, the alloys are now sat in the garage untill I get the correct bolts. I just want to know why the centre caps on the alloys where the meet the hubs are so snug. Are they all like this?
