Is it just me or does the proper hatchback petrol model XSI seem a tad rare? It's not very often I see one on the roads or for sale for that matter. So whats going on? Did they not make that many of them? Or does all the owners have them hidden away in a garage.
I want an XSI next, it's only £100 more for the year on insurance than my 1.4 LX so cant complain. But it's finding one for the right price etc.
Also what seems even rarer is the phase 1's (Dont want a phase 2 really cant be botherd with the whole BSI trouble etc, rather stick with a badly designed electrical system that doesnt take too much to fix when it goes wrong) is the leather interior. Ive seen a few phase 2's with them quite readily availible. But phase 1 seems like asking for blood from a stone.

From Factory Mate, It is all Phase 2 now but Mine is A 02 plate which I believe is when they started the switchover from phase 1 to phase 2. I had stuff like phase 2 wash jet's but phase 1 rear light's.

Nothing wrong with a multiplexed 206.
Its when people start dicking around with the electrics that problems start

multiplexed ones arent bad at all though unless you maybe want intense engine mods then it would prove abit more difficult than preplexed. I wouldnt touch a too old one when new ones are cheap these days!

Id much rather have a multiplexed XSI.
Better immobiliser, trip computer, dual stage airbags, much better electrical system.

The XSI was a XS before 2002 was it not? My car is multiplexed and I have never had a issue with it apart from a flat battery.

Hmmm.... Im not so sure now. Ive just heard too many bad storys about the multiplexed system. I do like to mess around with electrics as well. So i'd be constatntly thinking what am I going to upset now.
I dont completly p**s about with stuff. Just id want my aftermarket HU in there along with the amp. Also Ive got a few light strips etc Id want to throw in so would need to splice into some live's from somewhere.
