Think thats what their called would it cause any problems if i were to remove those textured black plastic bits from my doors ?
Not my car but good pic to use...
The black bits in between the 2 windows ?

They do just peel off.. Get a little heat on them before to help.

Not really, If your paint work has slightly faded over the years I can imagine it being a lot 'fresher' than the rest of the paint though

Using a heat gun, or doing it on a very hot day is best, but this has been covered lots of times before, even in the budget mod thread. As someone else said, search first

I tried this earlier, my car had been sitting in the sun all morning then I still used a hair dryer to warm them up and it was an absolute nightmare getting the sticky stuff of afterwards,
So now I have 1 pillar with vinyl still on 1 with a load of sticky residue still on and some new vinyl on order

I didnt have a problem with any sticky stuff mine just came straight off here are some before and after pics.
