As stated its another diagnostic ask. i have done a search but cant find what im after. ive gathered from the other threads that my car is not preplexed as i have the skinny stereo stalk.
So what can i expect from the cheap reader/software for example
scanner link
as im just after finding simple faults out, does this do the job? for example my abs light just came on, will it say which sensor is at fault?
or my car doesnt idle quite right, will anything pop up for this?
etc etc.
any help towards my descision would be great, nobody over here i can ask round on the cheap, and feel hard of paying a garage if i can buy this for less than the visit.
if only Lee was within driving distance lol
thanks all, dave

What year is it? They changed over in 2000 iirc, It worked on my old X reg 2000 LX. But it won't touch my sisters S reg one.
It'll only do general stuff as well like read / clear fault codes, show any live data that is available, it wont mess with BSI set ups or program keys or anything fancy like that. It also doesnt work with peugeot planet

It will only read P codes from the engine ecu, it wont do abs, airbags, alarm, bsi, or anything like that.
You wont be able to program or configure either

Need to read the live data from the abs system, and see which wheel speed is miles out

Mines a 2003.
Do you have the OBDII connector in your car? If you don't, I don't think the one you are looking at will work.
