I had one snap on me in a 406
This was way back in 1999
Never was the same again once rebuilt under warranty, then again I got shot of it not long after.
Worse car I have ever owned so far

i can remember doing a few 406 snapped belts, thats what brought the recall on, did the xu10j4 and xu9j4 engine in 406 and 306 , many an hour spent lapping valves in and draining hydraulic tappets. hell still remember the bruises from that lol. happy days. now i advise a belt on every service i do and always with a water pump. just not economical to do half a job in my eyes

I hated the 406 so much I got rid & went back to a trusty 405
405 = better to drive & sweet chassis, basically goes where you point it
I lost 40 mph cornering speed on a certain corner every morning on the way to work when I had the 406

Well.. At just over 50k, I don't think mine has ever been done, and I've had a horrible squeaking under the bonnet for ages! Somewhat worrying, but I just don't have the cash to get it changed yet!

Way out of my area im afraid but cheers anyway.
The again a TU3JP timing belt isnt that difficult to do
As for 405's
94 - GTX then 95 Exec
Rebuilt the leather manual front seats on to electric STDT frames & attached the seatbelt pretensioner brackets, then modded the heated seats to include a thermostat to stop them burning out in the normal 405 way.
STDT wiper stalk as well for varible timer on the wiper delay.
Set of Cyclones looked nice on it
