Hey
Fiddling around the back of the inlet manifold and I broke a connector that plugs into the back of it.
It's the 1.4 8v engine.
I need to replace the inlet manifold. Can I safely remove the old one and just replace it?
Is there anything I need to do before disconnecting the old one? Do I need to do the replacement immediately or is there a risk of dust and stuff getting in?
Sorry in a bit of rush, hope it makes sense.
Also, can I replace with a version from another model/engine?
Thanks.

You will need to replace the gasket.
What you actually broke of?

Hope not. Don't think so.
The bit that broke is a connector at the back of it. I'm not sure what it is, it's either a sensor or something.

Injectors?
Is it on the throttle body?

if you remove the inlet manifold from the head then the gasket must be replaced else it will leak.

No it's not the throttle body. The plastic bit after it. There is a plastic bit that has a molded pipe connected to it. The plastic bit that the cable connects to broke.

Yes, that's the word I was looking for. It's a stub but it's not the breather one that is connected to the filter, it's one at the back.
