hey all,

just wondering if anyone could help, ive replaced my standard car stereo with a sony head unit. everytime i go to turn it up past say... 25 it will just cut out and restart and keep doing so, untill i turn it down again. tried putting my mates stereo in and having the same problems. the standard radio worked fine so im not sure what the problem is, done some research and results show it may be: faulty wiring, bad earthing or i need a power cap? anyone else have a clue? lol

any help would be appreciated
thx

A: You need to change the red and yellow wires around at the back of your head unit..."

Try swapping the wires but it sounds like there isn't enough current going to the stereo, get a multi meter and see what volts and amps your getting when plugged in with it on a low volume and then how much it has when it cuts out, could be the battery
