Noticed today on drive home from work a fairly loud continuous tapping noise when at idle and increasing in speed while accelerating, it's definitely from the engine itself, just don't know what or why, can anyone help please

service was last year but only put oil in about 2 or 3 months ago  yeah i think i better check oil level

hopefully it could be a cracked manifold but if its not your looking at little end
