ive just bought a new outer CV joint for the nearside shaft, any ideas how to remove the old 1? im talking bout the actual joint itself not the boot, incase they were mixed up.......

inside all the grease under boot rubber in one of the brearing grooves there's a sir clip that needs to be opened up a little and the end will slide off.

thats the inner joint....the outer joint is attached to the cv cup, tried giving it a 'dai tap' with the hammer but shes on tight!

when you get it off get a pic up as i wanna see what the differance is as i allways assumed that the shaft its self is just a bar with splines and sir clip in the cv for both ends.
