Driving along yesterday both my Low oil pressure & low brake fluid warning lights came on, along with the STOP warning light. When I pulled over I discovered that the oil was very low & topped it up. All of the warning lights disappeared when i topped the oil back up to the correct level.
However upon restarting the car the accelerator pedal has very little travel & the engine will not rev past 3000 rpm. Is this the ECU in some sort of 'Safe' mode to protect the engine? or something else?
If it is the ECU in safe mode is there a way to reset this?

Search Limp Mode, I think you should find your answer somewhere on here.

So you were under the bonnet and now the throttle won't move much? Check out the cable under the bonnet. Have you knocked the clip that keeps it in position?

Thanks, yep the clip had disappeared so with the cable re-adjusted the car is running fine again.
