Had exactly the same thint happen to me twice.. two different wheels, both times ripped the arches out, once whilst parking, the other in the middle of Guildford.. Don't bother trying to rethread the hubs if they're already shredded, replace them with new ones if you can afford them straight from peugeot instead of a breakers and also check any damage to drive shafts as mine were f****d, though not 100% if this was the cause, my car has plenty of other faults. i was in my mates doing 40mph when passenger one fell off and rolled down the road! Laughing


got a new hub from scrapyard and fitted new disc's as that was naff as were it dragged down road.

Went to the yard this afternoon and they had loads of 206s which is good. But they were really busy and didn't have time to remove the hub for me and I didn't have any tools (or knowledge) to do it myself. Going back in the morning to get it.

On the plus side, they had a gti there and I got the gear knob and gaiter for £3 Smile think I'm going to be taking home the sports bumer and wings tomorrow too.

think you should invest in a torq wrench, and you carnt have tightend them very well for them to come of that soon? lol

that is the first tool i bought after i got my first car.

even halford cheap torque wrench is good enough for most job

I was at my friends doing it and he didn't have one. I think the spacer might not have been pushed all the way on meaning the wheel was allowed to move slightly, loosening the bolts....

i got my hub and got it fitted this morning. Now just gotta get a new wing and im back to square one Smile
