same rad as mine... you dont even need to undo the bleed screw. just fill up the coolant bottle and let it warm up with the cap off the bottle and top up as needed.

If you're changing the coolant, course you need to open the bleed screws to let the air out of it.
Think of you radiators at home, you bleed them...dont you

i did change the coolant . the system bleed its self . once the thermostate had opened. and with the cap off the coolant bottle air is able to escape. havent had any problems yet

hi. I am hoping to do this on my 206 SW 2 litre TD this weekend. So would i just remove the bottom pipe, let all the water run out. Then fill it back up, leave the cap off the water tank, then start the car and let it get hot and it would bleed itself?

If you could rely on the system self bleeding do you think they would have still fitted bleed screws?
You can bleed most of the system without even switching the engine on.

The system has to be bled as the heater pipes and matrix are a bit higher or the same level than the resevoir, bubbles dont go downhill !!! basic physics.
