depends.... I had one simiar and the fitment was s**te.

The scoop thing sits flush against the bonnet and the gap was right over the radiator so would be sucking in hot air.

I couldn't figure out how to get it to fit properly!

You probably have an 8v engine and the air intake is in a different place than the 16v engine so this will probably not fit! it will be the wrong shape...

A green cotton panel filter in your standard box, avoid that one as it appears to be shorter so it would be drawing in hot air from the rocker as well as the radiator

Peugeot did a good job on the standard box, thats why they mass produced it Wink

The K&N website will have the K&N panel filter.
Green cotton panel filters although green in colour, they are also made by the company "Green" and are available online. Razz Quick google search should return a list of UK stockist where you can select your model and engine.

K&N are cheaper and good quality with lifetime warrenty. Green are more expensive and are generally used in turbo cars with sensitve MAF sensors, particularly SEATS. The reason being K&N's cotton is oiled more and this can foul the sensor. No such problem on pugs or not that I have heard anyway.

K&N will be fine for your car. You won't have any real change in induction noise from the engine but you may see as much 2-3bhp increase on a good day rather than loose power like most induction kits due to hot air being drawn in from the engine bay.

If you want the noise go for the full induction kit and cone, but you may a bit of oomp during the summer months.
And of course declare everything Cool
