ok so my dw8 lump has fried a couple of rings so deffo planting the better 1.9 td engine from the 306 in it i'v been told the dw8 gearbox will fit so just wondering if anyone knows if the mounts are in the same posision and will I need to chanfe the loom??

it will drop stright in but you will need the down pipe from the 306 d turbo, ive have done this convertion myself in the past

use the dw8 gearbox too as it makes things alot better but you will need part of the engine loom from the 306 as the sensor clips for the temp are different but you could cut and chop as we did

also as the 206 has a immobilizer in the key you will have to bypass it on the 306 and they is 2 ways

1 buy one with the older bosch pump and just run a ignition feed to the stop solenoid

2 if it has a lucas pump you have to cut into the protective plate to bypass the imob but its easy

all pipes are the same iirc, it is only a day job and done 3 now

cost mostly I can get the 306 engine complete for 250 so thought it will be worth a crack at lol

thanks fella so glad to hear this miss my pug soooo much be nice to have more power and better economy lol cant wait to do this now lol

easy to tune on xud9 to around 120bhp just by opening up the fuel pump and turning the boost compensator up, if you get one with the kkk turbo it will run 18psi by just adjusting the wastegate but the TMIC will suffer from heatsoak with anymore boost. try and fit a xantia /406 inlet mani fold and you canput a from mount on it too

will probs leave it standard for a bit just wanna get her bk on the road lol so i'll need the outlet manifold and down pipe and i'll just cut wires in saves messin about lol and thats all i'll need??

yes if you buy a down pipe from a 306 from 1992-1996 it will come with a decat tooand they only around 30 quid too

kieron your a life saver and a true legend in this case lol I love this forum always pl rsady to lend a hand so get the manifold with the engine then quick decat for brass buttons and i'm on me way dont get any cheaper does it lol

one thing i did remember was the rev counter wont work, not sure why but it didnt really bother me
