Hiya peeps.

I drive a 2005 206 1.4hdi, when i bought the car I was told that the cambelt doesn't need changing till 144,000 or 10 years under normal use

My car is now nearing on 70k which is when I usually get belts changed, is it worth getting it done now or to wait even longer?

The reason I am considering it now is because I don't know what they class as "normal use"

I use the car to do a 50mile round trip a day, however it isn't standard and is pushing out 110bhp @ 155lb torque.

I have a 2005, 1.4hdi for everyday use & for a bit of fun a 1999 Suzuki Bandit 600

144k is far too much think peugeot say around 100k or 10 years, mine was 106k and timing belt tensioner exploded, get it dome sooner rather than later to be on the safe side

Is it an easy DIY job, or garage only?

DIY if you have the time, patience and tools, if you're not confident take it to a garage
