Ive got the switch to turn the airbag on and off under my steering wheel, Im assuming thats for the passenger airbag.
I dont have a passenger airbag, but im assuming that i can just fit one and it will work?
And if so, would it be likely to raise my insurance or lower it as im making the car safer?

im not an expert but I doubt it will lower your insurance as its not reducing your chance of having an accident where the insurance co has to pay out, it just makes it safer for the passenger if you do.

it might do if you declare it as a modification and your insurance company just blanket put the price up for any modification, but it wont if they only up the price for performance mods (which supposedly increase the chance of an accident occuring)
then again if a load of 206's come with it as standard you could just not declare it and pretend its standard. I seriously doubt any inspector would be like "wait a minute, this 206, in this model, of this year shouldnt have a passenger airbag.. lol"

You might need a new airbag ECU.

you have to make sure that you got all the right connections installed on the passenger side,so that you can plug it when fitted, and also check your airbag ECU,and make sure it support the passenger airbags, because sometimes it's software only support driver's airbag, and offcourse you need a new plastic cover with the vent writen next to it (Airbag)

Make sure you get the correct type of passenger airbag!
Non plexed & mulitplexed use different connectors!
Connect the airbag up, turn the keyswitch to ON, then see what the airbag warning light does.
Is the bulb there in the instrument cluster for the passenger airbag or has that been removed as well?

My cars non plexed, and as far as i know there's only one airbag light on my dash?
But, when i plugged the switch in, whether it was on or off, my airbag light flashed. Usually its on with the ignition but then turns off when i start the engine.

I get the feeling you might need to swop the airbag ecu once the passenger airbag is fitted.
