had my mot done and need the following work doing. Just after some advice from anyone who can be kind enough to spare a moment.
Need the nearside drop link replacing and the offside handbrake cable is knackered.
1st garage quoted £8 for the droplink and £10 for each of the handbrake cables, Then another £60 to fit them.
2nd garage quoted £30 fitted for droplink depending on which one it need as apparently there are two different kinds and he said the handbrake cable is one complete unit so I would be looking at £50 fitted.
Was under the impression that the handbrake cable was two seperate cables due to the first garage quote.
Anyway do these seem like reasonable prices to replace these two items.
Also anybody know what bulb i would need for the nearside indicator.
cheers

appologies.
one drop link on nearside and both handbrake cables.
If my mot is only showing the offside as knackered will i only need to change that or is it advisable to get both done.

My bad must have read it wrong. Drop links aren't needed to renew both sides at once unlike break pads etc so you will just be fine with the one. £8 for one drop link is very cheap as well and all 206s use the same suspension types (maybe not ccs I don't know) so as far as I know there is only one kind of drop link for them.
£60 for the labour is the max I would pay it doesn't sound too bad.
