HI THERE NEW TO THE FORUM,

JUST BROUGHT 206 1999 1.1 LX .
WHAT HAPPENS IS WHEN I START CAR IT WILL REV UP TO ABOUT 2000 RPM THEN IF I TAP THE THROTTLE IT WILL GO DOWN TO NORMAL IDLE .
BUT AFTER DRIVING FOR A WHILE WHEN I PUT CLUTCH IN CAR WILL REV UP TO ABOUT 3000. ALSO WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND PUT CLUTCH IN REVS WILL HUNT CONTINUELY UP AND DOWN BETWEEN 1000 -2000 RPM .
ITS VERY STRANGE Confused .
IVE CHANGED IDLE CONTROL VALVE, THROTTLE CONTROL, MAP SENSOR, LAMBDA SENSOR, TEMP CONTROL, I DONT THINK there's ANY LEAKS.
ANY IDEAS Crying or Very sad

First of all, you can remove the caps lock when you post, it's not very nice having to read through that. I've moved the thread to the right place now, unfortunately short of what you've already mentioned, I can't really suggest much else..

ECU reset.
I had exactly the same issue with a 1.1 206 a couple of weeks ago.

Then take it for a 15 mile drive.

The ECU has to re-learn.

i had the same problem when i broke my oil hose clip (the short hose running from cam cover to the throttle housing) my engine would rev up to about 2500 - 3000rpm everytime i diped the clutch and started the car. brought a new one from peugeot (costing £15) and now its back to normal.

so give that a try because it could be that simple.

buy it, fix it, mod it

Il check that but I don't think it had any air leaks around that pipe . Did yours have an air leak from it then ? It's the breather pipe isn't it ?

Sounds like the battery is dying.
