When ever I drive and my revs drop they don't go to 1000 they just drop to zero and the car cuts out, the car is an 04 plate and has the original battery. I have been told by a friend this could be the problem, does anybody know?
04 plate silver, gloss black nimrods, 180 brakes, more to come.....

A search would have found your problem. Most likely the idle control valve.
