saw mechanic again he said it does come on but late 90's so really hot , problem sorted .
New car 2011 / Thoruim grey , 207 1.4 Vti 16v Sport 95bhp , tinted rear windows.

Old car 2000/ 206 2.0 hdi.

that's not right at all.

petrol and diesel use different fan switch. diesel came on at 80 and petrol came on at 89.

... and the fan should kick in for the aircon around 20 seconds or so after pressing the button.
engine does not have to be heated to check that.

My Gti fan doesnt come on until around 95.

well he said it comes on bout 95 or higher so il leave it at that
, it never overheats anyways or get quite that high so be ok.

80 seems too low for fan to come on surely ?

It does sound low, but its a long time since i had my HDi. I wouldnt worry about it. Is your A/C working ok, if so the low speed fan should come on as soon as its switch on.

no air con not working dont think ,no gas left think i has a leak green air con light comes on though , but mechanic said he had it runinng hot and it came on 95ish so belive him .
