ok guys, i tried the 2nd gear thing, and it judders even worse haha. so its looking like it might be something like a faulty ht lead, or the coil pack....i hope its only the leads. spark plugs were just changed 2 months ago.

206's dont have HT leads 
As for spark plugs, hope they aint NGK

yup checked my service invoice from 2000 miles ago. ngk sparks fitted. sent the coil mad and its busted it. so i got a 200 repair bill. b******s! reckon i can claim something back from the other garage for the bad sparks?
