Up north where I go it gets quite chilly believe me (-10 C no problem).
Summer in Athens = 40+ C easy.
Since its a diesel though and a 2.0 Hdi at that, you might well be right so I'll let it lie. |
what i have been remember is last winter many diesel runner on info are struggle to start their car a few threads per week! |
I also member last winter UK quite bad.

Believe me my good friend driving in the UK is 1000 X better than at least over here.
It is my favourite driver mentality by far. Go figure..

Still think its a bit of an overkill for a 206 TBH. |
Why?
Starts my TU3 powered 206 whatever the weather
Cheap enough, 5 year warranty & plenty of extra power in reserve |
Because I've been running a Black Dynamic for years and never had
the slightest issue even at very low/extremely high temps.
Unless you are using a substantial ICE rig I don't see the point really. |
My car has a lot of extra electrical equipment fitted plus the Silver Dynamic comes with a 5 year warranty so that shows Varta has faith in it's product range
I'd much rather have plenty of power in reserve, you never know when you might need it.

Capacity is the Ah spec which is minimal difference between them, something like 3Ah or 5% blue vs silver.
The main difference is cold-cranking peak amps.

Winters are cold enough in the UK, starting the car at -10 & having the heater, heated rear window, heated seats & headlamps all on it helps to have a decent battery

Really? Do they power-up before the 'engine-running' line comes up in the BSi?

Auto headlamps dont switch on until the engine is ruuning.
