Dont remap a 1.4.... no point tbh... you will get best results from a decent service over a remap!!!

On the subject of remaps - does anyone on here know where to get it done cheaply (but properly)?

I know there are plenty of cowboys that balls it up, but at the same time I begruge paying £300 to just be plugged into a computer...

It's for a 2.0, want mine remapped for economy.

tell me where i can get oil and filters that give me the equivalent of 22BHP and 45NM that i got from remapping this engine...

i've had the car in the family for five years now, it's been remapped for four years, and to be honest it has been as reliable as any other 206.
like any car if you undertake proactive maintenance you'll have a more reliable car.

i think smiddies is referring to the 1.4 petrol.

yes you should remap it, in my opinion. i got it done with rs tuning in 2007 and the figurs quoted are right.
they are all just numbers at the end of the day though, it's the driveability of the car that makes it worthwhile, and the economy has been maintained when driven the same.

Doesn't everybody? You don't get something for nothing.

you use more fuel when accelerate, but less when curesing around.
