i have a 2005 peugeot 206 1.4 hdi with 73,000 miles on the clock. and as of last night it has very little too no power what so ever until the turbo kicks in at about 2000 revs. i know they do this a bit anyway but not as drastic as this. im no mechanic so im just asking the advice of anyone on here. however i do know the clutch is on its way out as that has been slipping when you go to put your foot down is this the problem\/ like i say it just suddenly went really bad last night thanks

You've diagnosed your own problem really, the slipping clutch is the reason for what you perceive as 'no power'
Once the clutch starts slipping it very quickly deteriorates to a 'badly' slipping clutch to no drive whatsoever.

im not 100% sure it is the clutch though because its not lsipping at low revs and if you go to put your foot down literally nothing happens it builds up ever so slowly but i mean at snail pace it was only slipping after the turbo comes in. its just werid it happend all of a sudden because the clutch has been slipping odd times since october

Fix the clutch, then you'll know. You need to do the clutch anyway as mine started slipping and then completely went later the same day.
