Hi all,

to cut a long story short I recently changed head gasket as I had the common oil leak. All was well for a week doing short journeys to work etc.. Went on a long run and after about an hour I could smell fuel, turned out an injector was leaking. I thought this was probably because I used universal o rings on the injector seals. Bought new ones from Peugeot (£30) fit them and set of back home. About 40 mins in the car cut out and now wont start.

I thought it was the injector seals again because when I put my hand round the back and put a little pressure on the injectors they leaked again. But would this stop the car from starting?

I changed the seals again taking care to fit them properly (with a little oil to ease them in) but it still wont start. Any Ideas? I have fuel in the rail but dont know if it is getting to the engine.

Its a 2001 206 1.4 manual by the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jase

If they are leaking they're either broken or you really can't have put them back in properly. They aren't the easiest things to stuff back into place remember.

I may be reading it wrong but do they still leak? If not the engine may be flooded?

Don't, as you can cause damage.

try the multiplug that goes into the injector rail. when i did the headgasket i never plugged it in properly (because its a pain in the ass to reach) and it just kept turning over and not firing....

but works fine now

Take the plugs out and see if they are all covered in fuel. Or try adding a bit of throttle on start up to help clear the fuel out.
