Yeah, but a manual could need a new gearbox AS WELL as a clutch, recon gearbox's are cheap enough  Mines a Ford box so plenty knocking about

is the garage called R Ipoff & Sons by any chance?
£500 is a lot, something doesnt sound right.

my clutch as only 280 and was a 2L HDi
there definitly dry washing there hands with this one!

As someones already said, i can do it much cheaper... £210 all in on a 1.1, thats a genuine valeo clutch.
Does the car still drive or has the clutch just gone all of a sudden?
