Just got back home after having the RAC out. Heard a really loud knock noise when turning a corner. RAC investigated the fault to the front side coil spring and towed me home.

Very nice service by the RAC!

Will be taking the car to garages tomorrow and just wondered what 206-ers thought the price should be for replacement springs.

Also, is it worth doing the other springs at the same time?

Thanks for any advice Smile

You may awell because they could be a slight hight difference due to were, also if its just as old it could go anytime soon so the whole job will have to be done again and could be dangerouse and cause a accident to you and other road users

That seems to make sense. I'll try and get them both done in that case.

Kudos to RAC today though. First time I've called break-down people and its certainly worth having the cover!

Where abouts are you? I have one you can have for free

I had mine fail on an MOT didn't take long to do myself.

I'd replace the top mounts and bearing too. If they are slightly seized then that could have contrbuted towards the spring breaking. That with speed bumps and cold weather.
