Hi,
A while ago a neighbour complained that my car alarm was going off during the night. I never heard it so presumed it was someone elses. Last night at 1am I heard it go off, there was no one around and the car and windows were fully closed. Then at 3am it went off yet again! I had already dearmed and the rearmed the alarm at 1am so there's a fault somewhere. The weird thing is it hasnt gone off during the day (well not that I know off)

Any ideas? Is it an electrical fault?

Thanks,

Darren

Arm the alarm system with the ultrasonic sensors switched off & see if that stops the alarm being triggered.

Ultrasonics are a common problem & there cheap new from a Peugeot / Citroen main dealer & easy diy to replace.

RTFM Wink

Turn the ignition off

Press & hold the button by the handbrake until the red alarm led comes on & stays on.

Now just exit the car & lock it as normal with the remote, the alarm led will now flash as normal.

You have to press the button everytime you wish to disarm the ultrasonics & arm the alarm system.

Thanks for the instructions. I havent yet tried them as the alarm hasnt gone off since. Its definitely a intermittent fault. How difficult is it to replace the ultrasonics? Im thinking of just changing them if they are a common fault.

The hardest part is disconnecting the brown plug under the BSI unit Laughing

Basically the wiring goes along the front of the headlining & both wires then go down the drivers A pillar to the connector plug under the dash in the BSI unit.

A few little torx screws & some clips that hold other trim parts on.
