how much movement should there be in the gear box engine mount? ive got abit of movement from somewhere and although this replaced mount a couple of months ago i think it might have gone again. i removed it today and took some photos see below, is this worn or deos that seem about the right ammount of movement to have photos show the metal section in the extreme right and the extreme left position.

That looks about right to me did one on a customers car this morning looks the same.

focus st 3 with pro alloy intercooler, 3" mongoose down pipe, 200 cell sports cat and mongoose cat back, collins bov, dreamscience dsci cold air intake,focus rs injectors,focus rs oil cooler,dreamscience dsci tuneing platform mod X map,focus rs clutch & flywheel, rs fuel pump, polly bushes in wish bones rear axal and suspension white line front and rear arb, eibach pro street s suspension.

so it should be alright? must be the bottom mount moving them, top mount is fine how do you tell if the bottom mount is gone?

not sure that looks right can you move the metal collar with your fingers it should hardly be able to move

Just looked at my old mount and when I remove the metal sleeve, the oval hole is 30mm long.

Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

yeah i could move it left to right as the pictures, proably about 5mm from the centre each way, also should be metal sleve be wedged in the rubber as i coud take it out very easily?

cheers will measure mine if i take it off again, its not a difficult job but you got o undo so many bolts!!!
