Hi Folks
Diagnostics test picked up a sensor fault on accelerator pedal, been told you have to replace the whole pedal to solve the problem is this true.?
Having no problems at all with accelaration and power.
What should i do. any suggestions welcome.

You sure its the accelerator pedal? as they rarely fail. Its normally the throttle position sensor

Very nicely said LEE. It is the throttle position sensor. where's it located, my friend who did the diagnostics said it was in the pedal.

open the bonnet, look near the airbox its there. If you get someone to rev the car you can see it move.

Just wandering? does the sensor affect the MPG you do as I've noticed a drop recently.

Probably will do as the throttle and revs are all over the place.

Was ridiculous when mine was faulty, could never hold a constant speed.

better get it fixed when i take it for MOT tomorrow
