Hi all, cant see a 'How to' but what is the best way to paint my rocker cover? should i use the high temp paint, or would hammerite paint be ok? thanks

I used regular spray paint, seems to be fine so far lol

did u primer and lacquer it as well?

ofcourse, 3 coats of plastic primer, about 3 of paint and the same in lacquer.

hammerite is high temp paint.. they just dont really market it as that. why do you think most people use it for their brake callipers

No problem, mines a 180 so it's a plastic cover, hence the plastic primer (after lightly sanding it down with 800 and then1200 grit wet n dry), obviously use the apropriate primer for whatever surface you're painting though.

are you painting the plastic part on the engine or the metal rocker cover?

yeah hammerite would do it, but the last one i did i used VHT as the primer, 2-3 coats of that ad the colour and then the laquer. Worked great. Was still looking bright and bubble/blemish free after 2 years lol

VHT paint is quality, just a bit more pricey.
