Can anybody give me any information on how to re fit the engine cover on
my 2,0 HDI. I believe the fastenings have broken and I need a new bolt set. Are there points on the engine block that these bolts fit into?
Any useful information would be appreciated.

Just read your question again, 4 bolts that your asking where they go in the engine bay need to be removed, as they often come away from the rubber.

Yes you was correct they had snapped off and the bolts were still in the block. I think bolts and washers are a good alternative just need to find out what the thread size is and whether it is metric.

6mm by 50mm long, just take one of the bolts with you (wilkinsons) have a good selection of small packets.
On the inside of the cover put a washer, then a 25mm spacer, followed by washer, nut(finger tight) obviously a washer on the outside of the cover.
Works a treat, problem gone forever.
Just wondering, anybody know what function the cover does, the obvious i believe to keep heat to engine in, noise, protection.

Hi Drewden not been on here for a while and just seen your message. This seems a really good alternative can you also buy the 25mm spacers from Wilkinsons?

Peugeot released a revised set of clips as the old version were prone to breaking.

Go and visit your local Dealership.

Thought as such, would have thought the search function had been disabled Laughing

It boils down to one of these:

Main dealer phobia

Rather buy cheap s**te from Ebay

Rather bodge it
