I was having a tinker inside the engine bay, cleaning bits up etc when I found this hanging loose under the air filter box, anyone know what it is? Oh and the car is a 180

yeah they sometimes are just hanging loose i have one on my battery box aswell Confused or that might be the same one not sure where it leads to or anything though Laughing

Its the breather of the vac solenoid for the air flap in the standed air box that opens up to let more air in the engine when higher up the rev range /vvt comes in etc.

If you have the k@n typhoon kit you get blanking plugs to put on the solenoid as you wont need it any more. if you remove it completely if brings fault code up in ecu so thats why you get blanking plugs.
