I was giving the pug a wash down with the weather being good, and decided to take of the '206' tag on the back, it peeled of mostly, but it left a different shade of paint behind it..

And closer up..

Thats not a smudge next to the '2', just strange reflections Very Happy
Should I just stick the '206' tag back on? Or is there something I can do about it ?

Scratch-x, you'll probably have to go at it for a while.

Tht looks like left over glue. Get some petrol a rag and give it a good rub and it will come off

Just went out armed with a rubber, its definatly paint, I can feel the surface difference when i rub my fingers over it, The boot was re-sprayed around Feb, im assuming the bloke bodged up masking over the tag's, and didnt remove them

T-cut and polish it out, if there is any glue residue then use white spirits but make sure you wash the white spirits off afterwards.

Stuck it back on, T-cutted the hell out of it with no success, I think the section would need spraying over to bring the paint flush

The hinge probably just needs tightening.

The whole of that section is slightly out of line, I was in a crash and it deformed all of the rear driver quarter.
