Today ive had the the car scanned for a airbag fault and it came up as

Driver module permanent trigger open fault circuit

could anyone advice the fault to look for / replace

I had this, I had to take my glovebox out (there's a how to) Then cut the plug out and solder the wires together (disconnect the battery for at least 10 mins before and follow soft boot procedure if your car is multiplexed).
The only thing is my code said passenger open circuit, I think there is a plug behind the ashtray that would be for the drivers I think. It could also be the drivers side seatbelt pre tensioner

Either COM2000 if your MUX or horn spool if your pre

Or maybe the orange connector in the fuse box
