Bought a 206 1.4 lx and it has a de badged boot and no boot handle, i have to pull a cable tie from inside to open the boot, will i need to have this fixed before the M.O.T and what can i do to fix it?

Method of Inspection
Load Security 1. Check that any bootlid, tailgate, loading door, access panel, hinged tailboard or dropside is or can be secured in the closed position.
Reason for rejection
Load Security 1. A bootlid, tailgate, loading door, access panel, hinged tailboard or dropside cannot be secured in the closed position.

No it wont fail.... it is secure when closed... you only need to pull the cable tie to open it

You need to be able to open it from the outside though, dummy it up for the mot and have a peice of string hanging out to pull...
I used a cable tie as they tent not to snap.

What do you mean no boot handle?
I don't understand, the boot closes by a little catch on the bottom. As long as this catch is there it won't fail pretty sure opening the boot isn't required to pass the mot just impractical.
