Should get away with it, its probably (what's left of it) in the sump by now. Only thing you can try is take the sump off, could be very lucky & it'll come out when you take the sump plug out.

You could feed a piece of wire into the tube and check to see if it's still in there. If it has ended up led in the sump. get a powerful magnet and move it around on the outside of the sump, finishing near the sump plug, drop the oil and see if you can get it out. Might need long nosed pliers to reach it.

New dipsticks are only a few quid from dealer (cheaper than the ones on ebay)

Its booked in for a service next week, will it be ok to run it this week?

using a magnet will be no use as it is the plastic bit that has broken off.

Sorry i was thinking you meant the plastic at the top end, and the metal had fallen in.
Not sure if there is a strainer gauze over the pick up pipe in the sump. If there is then it will be held in the oil somewhere down there, if not it could be trapped in the oil filter. Just keep an eye on your oil pressure and temp to make sure there are no big changes.

Happened to mine years ago. Didn't seem to have any effect at all.

There is a strainer on the oil pick up pipe so it won't go anywhere. Although if it's plastic will it float? It might come out of facing the right direction when the oil is emptied.

Common problem on the TU lumps with the plastic tip'd dipstick.

It will be fine, won't cause any engine damage

Thanks for the feed back will see if it comes out when they change the oil.I have bought a new dipstick and had no problems with it sliding in,so i suppose it must be in the sump somewhere. The piece of plastic looks like could be 1.5 inches long.

Don't worry about it, I must have 2 or 3 floating round in the sump by now! They never seem to come out with an oil change but don't do any damage.
