Hey.

My sister has just got herself a lovely T-reg 1.1 206. All seems well with it, though there is one little niggle.

The car doesn't have central locking, which is fine, but the front passenger door stalk won't lock when you have the door open (i.e. you have to close it and lock with the key). Is this just a thing with the 206, or is there something you can change to make it work?

Apologies in advance if this has been answered...my search fu was low.

On some cars if you lift the exterior handle then lock it (with the handle still lifted) then shut it while still holding the handle up, it works. I never tried it on a pug but it works on other cars Smile

Its designed like that to stop idiots locking the keys in the car.

Fair enough, thanks for the suggestions all. I think the let the passenger get out first plan should work fine.

Be kind to your sister & see if you can retrofit her some central locking.

Plenty of 206's in the scrapyards to get bits from Wink

Should just lock / unlock the passenger door when the drivers door is locked / unlocked, should still be virtually impossible to lock the keys in the car.
