Ok, so today I decided I didn't like not having a clock in the car, so I got the soldering iron out, dismantled it, and got busy with soldering.

Thought I did a good job, so I connected it, it worked Very Happy but the bulbs didn't light up (I know they work as they are new) so I took it out and began soldering again.

Looked smart, so put it back together, stick it in, and nothing, tiny tiny poof of smoke from the ppt#...oops.

Now it doesn't work, which is a shame, I'll just have to get a new one from somewhere.

But my stereo wont turn on either Sad even more worrying is that my sub/amp wont work either.

I'm guessing I've done something wrong Cool but what, a fuse? if so, why doesn't my sub/amp work =(

I can't drive without music.

Help Sad

Your sub and Amp wont come on if the headunit doesnt, they power on via a remote lead from the headunit Smile

Check the fuse for the headunit, both in the fusebox and the one on the back of the HU itself and report back Very Happy

You will need to check all the fuses, take out them and use a circuit tester on them as a visual test can be misleading. And I wouldn't get your soldering iron out unless you know what your doing Wink
Out of curiosity did you accidentally solder any pins together?
Hope you fix it

Exactly what ste said. No power to head unit means no power to amp (assuming your remote on amp the lil blue wire was wired to ya head unit and not just an ignition feed) which means no power to sub

NO do not start pulling fuses out one by one, trying to find out which one is blown.

Refer to the appropriate fuse list, disconnect battery (following proper procedures), then use
a multimeter to check the fuse(s) as indicated by the list.

Hope you haven't damaged the BSi.

Also make sure you have solved the problem before replacing any blown fuse.
