I'll probably be eaten alive for this, but what is the difference with HDI models, and non-HDI models? |
If you want a HDI powered 206 always go for the 2.0 version, there virtually bulletproof reliability.
The 1.4 is gutless & not that reliable, the 1.6 is much worse, its like having a hand grenade in your pocket with the pin removed

really? i thought since you only gain like 30 bhp from remapping the 2.0hdi youd get less from the 1.4 | nope they remap up to 90bhp or slightly more quite nippy once theyve been mapped up. Mr Bsi why do you say the 1.4 hdi is unreliable ? .

Doing a comparison from Parkers ...
1.4 s 3d AC = 44mpg, VED F (£130 per year)
1.4hdi s 3d = 65mpg, VED C (£30 per year)
Hope that helps
Gary

That £30 per year road tax is an added benefit...

We did some calcs before getting the 1.4 HDi (coming from a 1.1) and we reckoned we'd get savings of about £800 Inc the tax. Plus it's a lot nippier.
