Recently got a 2001 LX, whenever I remove the key, the car lets out 2 short beeps which are repeated 3 times, I've searched the forum but can't find anything about it, anyone know what it is?

Yeah it has, previous 206 I owned didn't do that with an aftermarket HU though :/

Well my focus does the same it all depends on the hu apparently it's a safety device so u remember to take the screen with you prevents thiefs gettin it :s

Ahh, that'll be what it is then, I can stop wondering now, thanks - old 206 headunit didn't have the removeable faceplate

Is it the same beep that it does if you have the door open with the ignition on?
