Hi all, I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before, I couldn't find anything while searching.
For the last month or so I have noticed a ticking/clicking noise when opening the drivers door after the car has been parked for a while (ie overnight). The noise seems to be coming from the drivers footwell or behind the dash, but it doesn't last long enough for me to really identify it's location and strangely it only does it the once when the car has been parked, opening and closing the door after this there is no noise.
It only makes this noise for a few seconds and the car starts/drives fine, this noise could be completely normal and there be no problems but it is really starting to drive me mad wondering what the hell it could be.
I don't really know how to describe the noise, it's the same sort of noise my punto used to make near the HU when trying to start the car when the battery was flat.
Has anyone here had this and knows what it could be?
Many thanks!

It only clicks for a second or two when opening the door, by the time I've sat down in the drivers seat the noise has stopped and doesn't make the noise again until the car has been parked a while again.
I will have a look at the relays though and see what I find. Thanks

Do you have central locking with an alarm??? Mine clicks when i unlock it, its the indicators flashing at high speed to let you know the alarm is deactivated, pretty normal mate
